BAGUIO CITY- Luisista Golf & Country Club (LGCC) teams maintained its lead and are on course of capturing the coveted Senior Championship Flight titles in the FIL and AM Divisions in the 69th Fil-Am Invitational.
The troika of Chino Raymundo, Rodel Mangulabnan and Eddie Bagtas, ,combined 81 points while Raffy Garcia contributed 21 at the short but tricky, par-68 Baguio Country Club (BCC) course on Wednesday to power Luisista GCC’s 102 en route to 351 total points after three rounds in the FIL Championship tussle in the fabled tournament supported by San Miguel Corporation.
Megafiber is in second spot with 342 (112-127-103), Manila Southwoods on third with 337 (120-115-102) while Okinawa Golf Team fourth with 297 (107-98-94).
Over at Camp John Hay course, Luisita’s other team continued to dominate the AM Championship game, submitting total three-round score of 337 (108-107-122).
Scoring the day for Luisita were Danilo Cruz 33, Chito Laureta 32, Benjie Sumulong 30 and Edmund Yee 27.
Meanwhile, Silicon Valley Golfers Association closed their campaign in the tournament with 4-round 287 prints total to bag the Senior Fil D flight honor . Team City of Vallejo scored 282 to finished second while IGC Seniors settled for third with 281.
Fil-Am Golf of Florida captured the Senior Am D crown with 246 total points, Club Intramuros Seniors Golf Association had 245 while Golf F-Veterans came up with 241 to place second and third honors.
